Despite Telling Voters That She Would Protect Healthcare and Work To Restore The SALT Homeowner Tax Deduction, Young Kim Votes To Advance Devastating Healthcare Cuts for Working Families and Seniors, Screwing California Homeowners Once Again
Tustin, CA – Today, CA-40 entrepreneur, mother, and first-generation immigrant Esther Kim Varet responded to extremist Republican Young Kim’s vote to axe $1.33 billion in healthcare funding for CA-40 alone. In a party-line budget vote, Kim supported the bill which would cut healthcare access for 41,000 low-income, elderly, and disabled CA-40 residents.
The extreme partisan budget also significantly reduces a viable path forward to restore Californian’s state and local tax (SALT) deduction. This is despite Young Kim telling constituents that restoring SALT was a priority for her.
